Matthew Perry, widely known for his role in Friends, passed away at the age of 54 last month. In his bestselling memoir released in 2022, Perry shared that he had relied on a female personal assistant, who he referred to as "Erin", to help him through his struggles with drug addiction and recovery. Upon Perry's untimely death, speculation arose about whether his glamorous assistant, Briana Brancato, was the mysterious "Erin".
However, it has now been revealed that Morgan Moses, a 37-year-old sober companion, was the person Perry had credited with saving his life. Moses, who Perry described as the kindest person in the world, had sat by his bedside for five months during his recovery from an exploded colon. Moses, who has been working as a full-time sober companion since 2018, possesses various skills such as therapeutic crisis intervention, mental health first aid, behavioral intervention, and nutritional counseling.
Her social media presence indicates that she has also experienced her own struggles with addiction and journeyed towards sobriety. Evidence of Moses' close relationship with Perry is seen in their joint purchase of a puppy named Alfred before Perry's split from his ex-fiancée, Molly Hurwitz, in 2021. Perry detailed their meeting in rehab and his subsequent admiration for Moses in his memoir, revealing that he eventually convinced her to join him as his personal assistant.
